Do you like ice cream? How about FREE Ben & Jerry’s ice cream? Come stop by to hang out with Sarah, Fallon, Aaron, Kendall, and other success coach students. Everyone is invited to come, however those who have received the Bridging the Gap grant will be expected to attend in order to receive critical information to maintain your funding for next year. If you are a Bridging the Gap recipient and cannot make it to the event, please e-mail your success coach directly to discuss an alternate plan.


Getting Things Done: How to be more productive

School, work, friends, family, extra-curricular activities, and so much more. Are you feeling overwhelmed or having difficulty balancing your time amongst all of your responsibilities? Join your success coaches as we provide helpful tips for working smarter, not harder. Students will have the opportunity to discuss some of the challenges they’ve encountered this semester and we will demonstrate practical tools that you can start using RIGHT NOW to help improve your time management, avoid procrastination, and make time for the things that are important to you this semester.


Spring Course Scheduling: Pre-registration workshops

Friday, November 3rd, 11:20am-12:20pm (free period), Campus Center-Lower Level, North Conference Room

Monday, November 6th, 4:30-5:30pm, Paul Robeson Library, Electronic Classroom 006

Students will be introduced to the schedule of classes, course schedule planner, degree navigator, and WebReg for an overview of how to assess for necessary courses, experiment with different scheduling options, and instructions will be given on how to register for courses when eligible. Students who attend will have access to reserved computer lab space to plan spring classes with guidance from their coach.



Stress-Free Study Break

Free period for students to drop in as needed to study, work on homework, catch up with their success coach or just relax! Come by for some games, coloring and of course, FREE FOOD.



Staying Motivated: Vision board party

Thursday, December 7th, 12:45-1:45pm (free period), ARM 121

It's the final stretch! As we near the end of the semester, maintaining motivation to get through these last few weeks can be tough. Come hang with your coaches to talk about your achievements this semester, new goals for next semester, and create your own personal vison board that can help you keep your eye on the prize. Refreshments will be provided.
